PlusSizeZeal.com started as an online guide to facilitate body acceptance and a place where plus-size peers can get ideas to live life to the fullest.

Our founder is Megan Smith. She created this website after realizing she had a tough time to easily find products and services which could enhance her plus-size body and lifestyle.

She found it a challenge to find high-quality information regarding furniture, food, hobbies, fitness, outdoor products, supplements, weight loss strategies, self-love, plus size clothing and footwear in one place.

That’s why PlusSizeZeal.com was built: To be the ultimate guide for plus-size people and to provide detailed information about suitable products and services specifically tailored to their needs, with a focus on Body Acceptance, Self-Love and Positivity.

Meet Our Team of Writers

Megan Smith - Founder and Chief Editor

Megan has been fighting overweight and her plus size since her teenage years.

She has tried all types of remedies including weight loss programs, medication, drugs, probiotics, anti-cellulite creams, fat burners, diet programs, diet pills, herbal weight loss supplements, fitness machines, motivational podcasts, audio programs, etc. and nothing helped to really live her life to the fullest.

She started doing thorough research through various research journal papers from top-tier universities and research centers and realized one’s mindset, diet and a positive lifestyle have the highest impact on being overweight and its consequences.

Megan founded PlusSizeZeal.com to share her findings. She also developed various detailed buying guides for plus-size people in order to make their lives easier and more comfortable.

According to Megan, changing your mindset from within is the way to ensure you embrace and accept your body and focus on self-love and a happy plus-size life.

Megan lives in Philadelphia (Pennsylvania) with her husband Andrew, their three young children Charlotte, James, and Jacob and Dakota, their lovely Golden Retriever who prefers wet food to dry food.

Megan runs this website part-time and works as a freelance editor for several local and national media outlets.

William Adams - Industrial Engineer and Product Guide Manager

I’m an Industrial Engineer on a mission to help plus-size individuals make shopping for products and services less stressful in their busy lives.

I have more than 20 years of experience in the field of engineering, I’m a happy plus-size individual myself and I love to blog online if I can have a positive impact on the lives of others.

The most fulfilling area for me is helping plus-size people ditch their body negativity to live life to the fullest, love their bodies and heal their relationship with food and the world in general.

I specialize in in-depth product guides with a focus on products which are sturdy, comfortable, heavy duty and capable of supporting lots of weight. Hence, I mainly write about the categories outdoor, furniture, home and fitness.

I love having nice family moments with my wife Caroline and our two fantastic daughters Hilary and Lisa who grow up (too) fast.

In my free time I love hiking. We live in Colorado, probably the best state in the United States for hiking with several thousands of miles of hiking trails suitable for both amateur and professional hikers. I also love traveling, preferably to countries with a Buddhist culture (I find peace and strength in this way of life).

Heather Campbell - Dietitian

Heather holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Dietetics.

I’m the proud mother of 3 children: Jack, Timothy and Claire. Thanks to my supportive husband Will, I’m able to combine work with family and hobbies!

With my hobbies running, writing, and sewing, 3 children, social obligations and my work as dietitian for young children in Seattle (Washington state), I know from personal experience it is no easy task to put healthy meals on the table at the same time.

I contribute to the PlusSizeZeal.com website as I want to guide several plus-size readers and want to help them overcome typical difficulties (practical and emotional) while focusing on body positivity and positive thinking.

My field of specialization is science-based nutritional advice but more importantly, it is my goal to share capturing and inspiring stories, examples and solutions which can help plus-size individuals overcome their specific difficulties.

To summarize: I want to make plus-size individuals feel better by communicating hope and positive vibes.
