If you want to redecorate your home, it will be harder to move a reclining sofa than a standard sofa.
To put it simply: reclining chairs can be heavy because of their extra mechanisms.
For this reason, they aren’t ideal if you plan on moving your furniture often.

One of the biggest downsides of reclining sofas is that moving them is quite challenging and cannot be ignored.
Since they are so much heavier than a regular couch, you’ll need some help to move them (in the future).

Carefully think things through. For example:
- How will you get it on the second or third floor?
- Is the elevator big enough?
- Do you even have an elevator?
- And if not, are the stairs wide enough?
