The dermis is made up of 80% water, elastic fibers and collagen and is responsible for the skin’s elasticity.

The hypodermis

It is the deepest and thickest layer of the skin, holding fat cells that form an energy reserve and allow the body’s thermal regulation.

It also carries out several tasks that are necessary for the proper functioning of our body:

A sensory function

The sensory and nervous receptors are located in the different layers of the skin. These receptors feel touch, cold, heat, pain, etc.

A thermal regulation function

It allows the body to regulate its temperature through a multitude of small blood vessels:

  • When it is hot, the vessels dilate to let the heat through.
  • When it’s cold, they contract to keep the heat inside the body.
A secretory function

Thanks to sweat, our body eliminates the various waste products and toxins present in our organism.

An immune function

The skin has its own immune system. The epidermis cells are in permanent contact with foreign bodies (viruses, bacteria, allergens) and develop immune defenses to respond aggressions.

Avoid heat

Exfoliation is good for your skin:

Aqueous cellulite

Aqueous cellulite is caused by poor blood circulation and water retention that causes cells to swell. It is favored by the lack of physical activity.

Contrary to what many people imagine, cellulite does not develop more in overweight people.

Lack of physical exercise

The lack of physical exercise prevents proper circulation of fat and water in the body.
